With a background in neuroscience, I bring a unique understanding of the brain to the counselling process. I believe that knowledge is empowering, so psychoeducation is an important part of my process. Understanding what is happening in your body and mind gives you more control over the choices you make and the way you move forward.

I draw on many therapeutic approaches including, but not limited to, Psychoanalysis, Schema-Based therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Solutions-Focused Therapy. I work with adolescents (11 years and older) and adults. My special interests are adolescent mental well-being, parenting adolescents, complex trauma, diagnosis support, interpersonal challenges, and workplace or career struggles.

Having had personal experience in supporting a family member through a neurological condition, I understand the importance of, not only, treating the physical condition but supporting individuals and their families through the emotional aspects of a diagnosis or injury. Diagnosis support is an area that I feel very connected to and believe should be an essential component of any medical treatment plan. I provide answers and practical strategies in a safe space. Come and have a chat.
